 School Advisory CouncilThe Blountstown Elementary School Advisory Council consists of the Principal, 4 teachers, 9 parents, 1 Community/Business representative and 1 educational support employee. This council is representative of the ethnic, racial, and social-economic community served by the school. Each member is elected by their respective peer group. The members of the SAC are provided membership information through memorandums, Parent/Student Handbooks, newsletters, and newspaper ads. The SAC meets a minimum of 4 times per year and during these meetings they are informed of the activities of the school, review results of needs assessments, examine, provide input and approve School Improvement Plans, approve expenditures of school improvement funds, monitor the progress of school improvement objectives, provide input on any issue and act as a liaison between the school and the community.
