Calhoun County School District awarded Title I School Improvement Initiative
The Calhoun County Schools has received funds from Title I School Improvement Initiative [1003(a)] to provide extended learning opportunities at Blountstown Elementary School. The District also received funds from Title I School Improvement Initiative [1003(a)] AARA to provide differentiated instruction with technology integration also at Blountstown Elementary School. The following extended learning opportunities are available at Blountstown Elementary School: Early Morning Tutoring (EMT) - January 5, 2010 continuing until May 28, 2010 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students from 7:00 - 7:45 A. M. Writing Camp - January 6, 2010 continuing until February 4, 2010 for fourth grade students from 2:30 - 5:00 P. M. Students will attend the camp 2 days a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. Science Camp - January 6, 2010 continuing until February 4, 2010 for fifth grade students from 2:30 - 5:00 P. M. Monday through Thursday. FCAT Camp - February 8, 2010 continuing until March 4, 2010 for 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grade students Monday through Thursday from 2:30 - 5:00 P. M. 3rd grade students will attend FCAT camp 2 days a week, either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 5:00 P. M.
Summer School will also be provided during the summer for four weeks. The dates and times will be available at a later date. Further information about the Early Morning Tutoring, After School Tutoring and Summer School will be available at the school by calling the principal or the assistant principal.
